5 Dinge, die ich 2015 gelernt habe

5 things I learned in 2015

A lot has happened in the last year:

Over 20 Before'n'After Transformations...

Over 500 participants at 36 YPSI seminars in 2 countries...

The launch of the YPSI Trainer B and A license…

A squat lecture with over 150 participants at the Perform Better Summit...

An author contract with the Riva Verlag…

In an eventful year there is something to learn. A lot of new things. Five of the many things I learned in 2015 are:

1. Writing a book is more work than expected - next year my first book "Your Best Training" will be published by Riva Verlag. The idea for this book was in the back of my mind for a long time. When I met with Riva publishing boss Christian Jund in Stuttgart at the beginning of 2015 for a very interesting dinner, he was immediately enthusiastic. 8 of the top 10 books in the training section on Amazon come from Riva Verlag. An experienced partner on a project like this is a great bonus. The first 80% of the book was done in less than a month. We've been grinding the last 20% for 6 months. Good things come to those who wait. "Your Best Training" will be available in bookstores and on Amazon on March 7th.

2. Travel is the best education. – As Goethe already said. Not really new. However, it is always decisive for something new. At the end of the year I was traveling in North America for 2 months. Santo Domingo, Phoenix, San Diego, Orange County, Venice, Hollywood, Las Vegas and New York. The goal was the completion of the book and the revision of all seminar documents/contents for the next year. And of course to get a good overview of the current fitness and training industry in North America. In addition to kneeling squats in the multi-press, there were also some very valuable innovations such as the Orange Theory project by my colleague Juan Carlos Simo and the purchase of the first cardio equipment for the YPSI. Later more…

3. The UFC is here to stay - The UFC has excited me even more in the last year than in previous years. The UFC is the Champions League of MMA - Mixed Martial Arts. After the UFC was taken over by current Presidents Dana White in 2001, he led the UFC to become the fastest growing sports organization in the world. I've followed the UFC for years, had the opportunity to work briefly with one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time Georges St.Pierre in 2012 and have been working with UFC fighter Peter Sobotta for over a year. The UFC now hosts events around the world almost every weekend, with several top fights each month, and this year at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia - where Peter Sobotta also fought - set a new record with over 56,000 spectators in the arena. Professional organization, sustainable and future-oriented structures, a lot of potential for fighters and a very high entertainment value. The UFC is the largest martial arts organization in the world and in sports entertainment, one of the biggest stars in the world is approaching, with an even bigger future...

4. Magnesium malate is an underrated supplement - I've been using magnesium malate since 2009, but never at the volume like in 2015. And since I'm always looking for new ideas for the YPSI supplement line, this is how the latest YPSI supplement was born, which will be on the market at the end of January. YPSI ChloroMalate – a compound of Magnesium Citrate Malate and Chlorella Pyrenoidosa.

5. "Winners focus on winning." Losers focus on Winners” – Conor McGregor's press conference after UFC 194 and his victory over 10-year unbeaten champion Jose Aldo was the first sports press conference I've ever watched from start to finish. Why? I was interested in Conor's clear and definite announcements, especially in the context of his rapid rise to become the currently biggest UFC star. He said many things that were interesting. What stuck the most is “Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners” – in German “Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.” Best quote I heard in 2015. A principle that I have always followed. Under the premise "Focus on what you can change and what is important". However, Conor gets to the point even more clearly – Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners….

Next year 48 YPSI seminars will follow in over 10 countries on 3 continents. The Rio Olympics with the participation of several YPSI athletes. Many more Before'n'After Transformation. Several new YPSI supplements. My first book "Your Best Training". And certainly much more...

See you next year. I wish you success. And a Happy New Year….
