About the YPSI Chlorella Complex

Chlorella is a freshwater alga that, unlike spirulina and AFA alga, has a cell nucleus that distinguishes it as a microalgae.

In science, a distinction is made between over 100 different types of Chlorella. To distinguish the species from each other, different properties such as the ultrastructure and the chemical composition of the cell wall, the structure of the pyrenoids , the physiology, morphology and molecular biology are examined.

The two most important forms are Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Chlorella vulgaris. The specific advantages and differences between these two forms are well documented in scientific studies.
